Tdap Vaccine
Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) Vaccine
Walk-ins welcome, appointments are served first.
Complete the consent form ahead of time to shorten your wait. Review the official Vaccine Information Sheet so you know what to expect.
Who Should Get Tdap
Ages 7+: Tdap is for children 7 years and older, adolescents, and adults.
Adolescents: One single dose at 11-12 years.
Adults: If you never received Tdap, get one dose (ask Charlie or your provider about booster schedule).
Pregnant individuals: Recommended during every pregnancy (preferably weeks 27-36) to pass protection to the newborn.
Can be given with other vaccines during the same visit.
What Tdap Helps Prevent
Tetanus (T) - Enters through cuts or wounds; causes painful muscle stiffening and can lead to serious problems (trouble swallowing or breathing) or death.
Diphtheria (D) - Spreads person-to-person; can cause breathing difficulty, heart failure, paralysis, or death.
Pertussis (aP) - Whooping cough; causes severe, uncontrollable coughing that makes it hard to breathe, eat, or drink. Very serious in babies and young children (risk of pneumonia, convulsions, brain damage, or death). In teens and adults it can cause weight loss, loss of bladder control, fainting, and even rib fractures from intense coughing.
