Complete the consent form ahead of time to shorten your wait. Review the official Vaccine Information Sheet so you know what to expect.
Who Should Get SHINGRIX
FDA-approved to help prevent shingles (herpes zoster) in adults 50+.
It's a 2-dose series, given 2-6 months apart.
Adults 19+ who are or will be immunodeficient or immunosuppressed due to disease or therapy.
Not used to prevent chickenpox.
What Is Shingles?
Shingles is a painful skin rash caused by reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox.
Who Is at Risk?
If you're one of the 99% of adults 50+ who had chickenpox, the virus remains in your body and can reactivate at any time. 1 in 3 people in the U.S. will get shingles in their lifetime. Even if you feel healthy, immune function declines with age, increasing your risk.
